Profile

MeI’m Greg Melia. Last year, I was a youth worker at St Cuthbert’s Church, Cheadle in Stockport. Now, I’m doing a PhD at York University’s Electronics department, working on a project called HIRF-SE.

When I’m not doing Careforce stuff, my main hobby is cycling. I used to do MTB when I lived in Sheffield, but now my main interests are audax/sportives, time trialling and Critical Mass, with the occasional tour thrown in for good measure. My highlight of this year was doing a 600km audax ride in 38 hours 50 minutes, next year I hope to ride the length of the country, visiting a town or village starting with every letter of the alphabet – yes I know that sounds a bit odd! I also like technology and tinkering with stuff, playing guitar (badly), good books and armchair spectating.
